Foster Care Ombudsman

The Foster Care Ombudsman provides assistance and resources to people who are served or affected by the child welfare system. People contact the Foster Care Ombudsman when they have a complaint or concern and a) don’t know where to go with it, b) have tried to address it through existing systems but were dissatisfied, or c) are afraid. EnAct’s Wheel to Work program provides funding for car repair assistance for individuals who have been employed consistently for at least 6 months, meet our income guidelines, and are in need of a vehicle repair in order to continue their employment.

After 90 days of being employed, Goodwill Industries of the Kanawha Valley will assist in a vehicle purchase. They will work with Truist for a loan and match the down payment for a car. Once the loan is successfully paid off, they will reimburse the individual for the interest paid.
